Bookings & Payments
Payments are processed securely via Flutterwave. For in-shop bookings, the full amount is charged at confirmation. For home service, a 50% deposit is taken upfront and the remainder is due after the service is completed.
Can I reschedule or cancel a booking?

Yes. You can request a reschedule or cancellation from the booking detail screen. Cancellations before service confirmation are free. Once confirmed, cancellations within 2 hours of the scheduled time may incur a small fee at the barber's discretion. Any refunds are credited to your Skodz wallet.
What happens if a barber cancels?

You'll receive a full refund to your original payment method or Skodz wallet, and you'll be able to choose a replacement barber. We'll also apply a discount on your next booking as compensation for the inconvenience.
After a booking is marked as completed, you'll see a "Leave a Tip" option on the booking detail screen. Tips are paid directly to the barber and are entirely optional.
What is the Skodz wallet?

The Skodz wallet is your in-app balance. Refunds and promo credits land here first. You can use your wallet balance to pay for bookings or top it up directly from the wallet screen.
Home Service
Is home service available everywhere?

Home service is available with barbers who have opted in. Each barber sets their own travel radius and additional fee. You can filter for home-service barbers on the Explore screen.
How do I share my location for a home service?

When booking a home service, you'll be prompted to enter your address. The barber will receive your address only after confirming the booking. You can also add a gate code or additional instructions in the notes field.
For Barbers
How do I join as a barber?

Download the app, select "I'm a barber" during signup, complete your profile (bio, portfolio photos, pricing), and submit a valid government-issued ID for verification. Approval typically takes 24–48 hours. Once approved, you'll be live and discoverable on the platform.
What is the platform fee?

Skodz charges a flat ₦100 platform fee per completed booking — added to the customer's total and deducted from the barber's payout. No subscriptions. No percentages. No surprises.
Earnings are settled to your bank account within 24–48 hours of a booking being marked as completed. You can view your pending and settled payouts in the Earnings section of the barber app.
Can I work under a barbershop on Skodz?

Yes. Barbershop owners can invite barbers to join their shop on Skodz. Earnings can be split between the individual barber and the shop based on an agreed arrangement set up in the app.
Membership Plans
Skodz Pro is a monthly membership (₦5,000/month) that gives customers priority booking slots, access to high-end Pro barbers not available to regular users, unlimited free rescheduling, and early access to new barbers joining the platform.
Skodz Black (₦10,000/month) is our invitation-only tier. It includes everything in Skodz Pro plus: dedicated concierge booking, exclusive access to celebrity Black-tier barbers, and a guaranteed availability promise — Black barbers always make room for Black members, including same-day home service.
How do I cancel my membership?

Go to Profile → Skodz Pro / Black → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

Which cities is Skodz available in?

We are launching in Lagos first, with Abuja and Port Harcourt planned for Q3 2026. Sign up to our waitlist to be notified when we arrive in your city.
Is Skodz on iPhone / iOS?

Skodz is available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). Download from either store — it's free.

Is Skodz free for customers?

Yes. Downloading and using Skodz is free. You only pay for the barber's service fee plus a ₦100 platform fee included in the booking total. Optional Skodz Pro (₦5,000/month) and Skodz Black (₦10,000/month) memberships are available for additional benefits.
How does Skodz make money?

What payment methods does Skodz accept?

Skodz uses Flutterwave for all payments, supporting debit and credit cards and bank transfers. You can also top up and pay with your Skodz wallet balance.
Does Skodz verify barbers?

Yes. Every barber on Skodz submits a valid government-issued ID before going live on the platform. Our team reviews and approves applications within 24–48 hours. Only verified barbers appear in search results.
