This Barber Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the Skodz platform as a service provider ("Barber"). By completing the Barber registration process on the Skodz app, you agree to be bound by this Agreement in addition to our general Terms of Service.
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner of Skodz. Skodz provides a technology platform that connects you with customers; it does not direct, supervise, or control the manner in which you provide grooming services. You are solely responsible for:
Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship. Skodz does not withhold taxes, provide benefits, or carry employer liability for Barbers on the platform.
To join the platform as a Barber you must:
Skodz reserves the right to reject any application, or to revoke a Barber's access at any time, if the verification requirements are not met or if platform policies are violated.
In exchange for access to the platform, Skodz charges a flat ₦100 platform fee per completed booking. This fee is deducted from the Barber payout after service completion. There are no percentage-based commissions, no tiered rates, and no monthly charges.
Payouts are processed to your registered Nigerian bank account. Skodz targets a 2–5 business day settlement window following service completion. Payout timelines may vary based on the payment gateway used and your bank's processing time.
You must maintain an accurate, active bank account in the Skodz app to receive payouts. Skodz is not liable for failed payouts resulting from incorrect account details.
You set the prices for your own services. You are responsible for ensuring your listed prices are accurate, fair, and inclusive of any applicable taxes. Skodz reserves the right to remove or suspend listings that are misleading, excessively priced, or in violation of platform guidelines.
Home-service bookings may include a home service fee set by you. This fee is passed through to the customer and included in the payout calculation.
As a Barber you agree to:
If a customer does not attend a confirmed booking, you may mark the booking as a "No-show" in the app no earlier than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. A no-show fee (up to 25% of the booking total) may be deducted from the customer's Skodz wallet and credited to you, subject to availability of funds in the customer's wallet.
Abuse of the no-show feature (e.g. marking active customers as no-shows) will result in account suspension.
Customers may leave reviews and ratings for your services. Skodz will not remove reviews unless they violate our content guidelines (e.g. contain hate speech or false factual claims). You may respond to reviews through the app. Do not offer incentives in exchange for reviews.
Skodz may suspend or permanently ban a Barber account for, but not limited to:
A suspended Barber may request a review by emailing support@skodz.com within 14 days of suspension. Skodz's decision following a review is final.
By uploading portfolio photos or other content to the Skodz platform, you grant Skodz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and promote that content on the platform and in Skodz marketing materials. You retain ownership of all content you upload.
Skodz is not liable for any injury, damage, loss, or dispute arising from or related to the grooming services you provide. You indemnify and hold Skodz harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your conduct as a service provider.
Skodz may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
